Tuesday is Election Day in the U.S., where issues ranging from the death penalty, the budget, genetically engineered food, health care, education and who will represent the country will be decided by citizens.
In a special election section of this week’s edition, The Advocate looks into the many national, state and local issues that appear on the ballot.
After all, Contra Costa College is a large campus that serves many students of voting age from all different backgrounds and beliefs. These students, and even those who are not yet old enough to vote, should be familiar with the issues at hand.
